Who we are...

Rigging and Transportation Solutions Inc. dba R & T Solutions, Inc., a Woman Owned Business, was started in 2016 by President and Owner, Roxanne D. Shurtz, as a Consulting, Project Management and Training company.

Roxanne began her career in the early ’90’s as an apprentice Machinist working with manual machines. By working in the Manufacturing and Machine Shop industries for 30 years, she has expounded her knowledge of modern manufacturing and machining processes used in the industry today and is an asset to any company that she works for.

As well, as being President of R & T Solutions, Roxanne currently works as a supervisor in the Manufacturing industry, which is continually expanding her understanding and experience in project management and with the developing needs of the manufacturing industry. She also has often been involved in the setup of shop floor machine installs and moving.

Roxanne is a member of the NTMA Steering Committee and works with many companies within the manufacturing industry.

Her experience gives her an edge in understanding the varying unique needs of manufacturing companies and insight into the gaps in service to meet some of those needs. The recognition of which, led her to develop and later expand R & T Solutions Inc.

In January 2020 Todd M. Shurtz became the Chief Operating Officer of Rigging and Transportation Solutions Inc.

The company then began to offer Rigging and Transportation services to fill an industry void in the local area by helping small Manufacturing and Machine Shops find cost effective ways to perform simple Machine Installations/Relocations with in-house maintenance personnel and/or affordable Forklift Training for their employees.  

Todd began his career in the early 90’s working for an electrical contractor performing residential, commercial, and industrial electrical installations. 1993 Todd began working as a laborer for a fabrication business, performing tasks both in the shop and in the field. During this time, he gained experience in the industry and before long was running small Boom Trucks, Cranes, and Forklifts.

He then began coordinating, scheduling, and running the operations of small and large Rigging and Machinery Moving jobs in the Tri-state area and beyond. Later Todd also controlled and operated jobs of complex Plant Relocations and Manufacturing Production Line Decommissioning and Reinstallations in the Rigging and Transportation industry.  

With Todd’s leadership, knowledge and expertise R & T Solutions Inc. is growing and offers solutions to our customers no matter the size of the job.

Todd’s Certifications and Qualifications include:

• Class A CDL Driver with Oversize and Heavy Haul Experience 
• NCCCO Licensed Crane Operator
• Certified Power Industrial Truck Operator
• Certified Power Industrial Truck Train the Trainer 
• Certified Rigger and Signal Person
• OSHA 30 Certification
• Aerial Lift Certification
